Summary of the Plan

JS Self Invested Pension Plan

  • Company sponsored Pension Plan
  • Legal & General is the sole provider
  • Member has choice of investments
  • Members contribute 5% of pensionable earnings
  • Company contributes 12.5% to the plan
  • The JS Executive SIPP provides life cover of four times member’s annual salary whilst in service
  • Long Term Disability Insurance is provided covering you for up to 50% of your salary and pension contributions should you become unable to work for medical reasons. This benefit is provided by an insurance contract and payment of benefits is at the discretion of the insurer.
  • Additional contributions can be paid via payroll or direct to the provider (Legal & General)*
  • Pension can be taken at any time from age 50 to 74 (55 to 74 from 2010)
  • Currently up to 25% of your account can be taken as a Tax-free lump sum *
  • Annual charges for Insured Fund options range from 0.3% to 2.5% of fund value (separate charges apply to Self Investment options)
  • Not contracted out of SERPS/State Second Pension
  • No refund of contributions from the Plan
